Xtreme medical was formed in 2000 to respond to the need of adventure sport competitions for medical response that could respond to the environment they competed in. Normal EMS services could not leave the road. Xtreme Medical was able to provide medical response in remote locations as well as provide mountain and river rescue.
Xtreme medical provides the whole package to adventure race organizers. We can provide ALS and BLS response for racers. We can access difficult areas like steep mountain terrain and white water. We can set up climbing element challenges such as zip lines, rappels or something creative and new.
We work with race organizers to manage risk and develop a hazard management plan. We provide safety orientations for racers, volunteers, staff and support crews.
We conduct pre race training programs for all involved. First aid, rope tips, tricks and safety for racers.
